In the midst of Ice Adolescence speculation and predictions, I think denkimouse has the most important thing to say:

In other words: expect the unexpected.

I think it’s a really great post because it reminded me of something I pretty much forgot about by now - of the fact that back when the anime was airing and we were watching it weekly we, as a fandom (and me personally), were surprised every episode. Think back to when you watched the anime yourself and (assuming no one spoiled it for you) ask yourself: how did you feel when Victor and Yuuri skated Stammi Vicino in episode 1? Or when Yuuri became the femme fatale in the Eros program in episode 3? Or during the kiss in episode 7? Or during the banquet plot-twist reveal in episode 10?

These are just a few big moments but the truth is that Yuri on Ice surprised us at every corner, gave us something new and unique every episode and defied all expectations. We were all trying to predict what would happen based on the little previews we got at the ends of episodes and the screenshot previews that came out two days before the new episodes and we still failed always. Every single time. Because Yuri on Ice is an unpredictable franchise and it’ll go above and beyond to surprise you in the best way possible.

So while it’s great to speculate, make sure to keep an open mind and don’t get too attached to any particular theory - chances are the movie will deviate from it anyway. Keep your expectations low and your ideas about the movie vague because if you hype up your ideal version of the movie in your brain too much, you’ll be disappointed with the movie no matter how good it’ll actually be. You’ll just end up upset because it wasn’t exactly what you wanted. Solution? Don’t want anything in particular, be open to what the creators are going to show us and I’m sure you’ll have a good time.

That’s pretty much the motto of the creators so one thing is for sure: you never really know what we’re gonna get until you see the movie yourself. So stay positive, open-minded and have faith - the creators wont fail you.
